All White with a Touch of Gold!!

So I am officially trying to return from the slacker department. I truly apologize to everyone that follows me on a regular. I had to get my camera repaired and took my time doing so. There were so many outfits that I wish I could have added and don't worry I will. Some may come from my phone so the quality may not be as good or it may not be as many photos as I would like but never the less I will add them.

Moving on... many folks that know me knows that I do not like all white. No it's not because I am a big girl, as you can see I pulled it off. The main reason is because it gets dirty so fast and I am clumsy! When my beautiful cousins invited me to a all white party over Memorial Day weekend I was not to happy, but the day of I took my behind out to find something to wear. After going in numerous stores I found this dress in Fashion to Figure along with the belt and was very pleased. I wore a pair of gold Steve Madden sandals and my jewelry is from Nikki of course. Yes the dress was fifthly at the bottom by the end of the day and before I even got to the party I managed to get red lipstick in two spots but I thank the inventor of baby wipes for being able to clean up that fiasco,Whew!! In the end we had a great time and looked good doing so. Please enjoy the pics and until next time....Do Love Your Curves (y)!

Hearts = Love!

This past Sunday was full of Love so what better way to show my love then by wearing my hearts. I channelled my inner school girl with this outfit and side pony. My top is from Forever21+, I do not remember where I got this skirt from 2 years ago, Sorry :-( and my CDG (Commes Des Garcon) by converse sneaks.

Aside from this I know I still owe you all a Dorothy Perkins review. I ordered a dress from them and I am awaiting its arrival so I can review both items at once. I will say the delivery process may be my deciding factor **tapping fingers**...it is coming though. Don't hold your breath but.......    Do Love Your Curves (y)!

Happy May!

The B.S.L.R Experience

Me and the B.S.L.R Staff (back row l-r: Daryn E, Tye, Danielle
Front Row: Pam and Capri)
Yesterday I had the awesome experience of being interviewed by Capri of Black,Style,Love and Religion blackstyleloveandreligion.weebly.com. Let me tell you it was a great experience. The chemistry of the staff is out of this world and they are so welcoming. I felt like I was just sitting down chatting it up with family. I truly enjoyed myself and am grateful for the invite. See the video below (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHGcBvUoBDw&feature=colike . I was also glad I was able to hear the interview of a talented young man and rising star Robert Lee Hardy that sat down with Daryn E. Go check out B.S.L.R to learn more about him and their mission. Such a great show. Be sure to check it out Saturdays from 6-8pm on rippedradionetwork.com. See my pre-interview blackstyleloveandreligion.weebly.com/black-style.html

I would like to also thank my cousins Marlon and Irma for all of their love and support. They made me feel like a superstar from start to finish, I am truly blessed and grateful but I am sorry we did not get a picture together:-( . They were so busy behind the scene for me that it was overlooked. Thanks Guys!

Now for my outfit logistics. I wore a denim jumpsuit that I bought from Ashley Stewart before my utter disappointment with them. My blazer is from Fashion to Figure and my jewels are of course from Nikki (she will be on BSLR soon) and my shoes I won't tallk about because I did not get a picture, but they are cute! Enjoy and Do Love Your Curves (y)!

ASOS CURVE!!!! Awesomeness!

I am in love with ASOS Curve. I love their clothes, the style, the fit, the quality, and everything about their shipping process! This dress has been in my closet for a couple of weeks and I could not wait to pull it out for my cousins party. It was like the Klymaxx song "the men all pause when I walk into the room" Even my man, the love of my life loved it, but he loves everything I put on :-). Anyway, it was cool that night so I paired it with my Zigi Soho boots. Underneath was my shapewear or "body armor" (what I call it) as you can tell. I bought that from Ashley Stewart.

If you haven't tried Asos Curve you really need to. Again its a UK online store but lately it seems if you want nice plus size clothing, online UK stores are the only way you will get them which is sad. As I mentioned in my other post I was in Ashley Stewart last week and thought I was in a fabric store. It seemed like every shirt, skirt, and dress used the same fabric different pattern. I don't know if they have a new buyer, designer, or management but they definitely need to make some changes and go back to the old Ashley Stewart where everything didn't look like you are over 50. Older women like style too, I'm Just Saying. For now my money will be going to Asos Curve and Dorothy Perkins. I am not counting out Forever 21Plus,Torrid, nor the new store I discovered in my area Fashion to Figure (F2F is not a new store just new to the DMV) just finding things more my style with the UK designer's.

I really say give ASOS a try, oh they also carry straight sizes and men's clothing. In the meantime.... Do Love Your Curves (y)!!

Coming soon I will be reviewing my Dorothy Perkins purchase and my obsession with pink lipstick!

"Ray Ban's On and Feeling Hella Cool 2Nite"

Hello HOD! I know I have been living in the slacker department and I apologize it's just been a lot going on in my little ol' life. I was really feeling this look so I had to share. No I did not where my Ray Ban's out that night, we know my pet peeve with that lol, but I did have to put them on with my new hairdo. I hope you like it because I love it!

Now to my outfit Logistics. My Tshirt is from Target. It may be the best v-neck I have ever owned. They come in several colors, I currently have black and white, ok truth 3 black and 3 white :-) yes that's how nice they are. My denim jacket I purchased last year from Ashley Stewart, I was in there last week and they do have them back in stock. While I am talking about Ashley Stewart I have to mention I was highly disappointed, but I will explain further in my next post. My Skirt is from Forever 21Plus $8.00 and the best $8.00 I have ever spent. I absolutely Love this skirt. My boots are from Steve Madden another great purchase. So there you have it a simple, inexpensive look with a lot of flair.
Until later.....Do Love Your Curves (y)

Black,White, and Green All Over...

St. Patricks Day was this weekend but I decided to wear my green the next day to show Green is not just for St. Paddy's Day. Pink is my favorite color but I love the color green as well, can't you tell with all the hearts :-). The heart on my sleeve is permanent, yes I am talking about the little heart tattoo that you can see a little of on my wrist but the heart on my shoes and T-shirt are Comme Des Garcons or CDG. You may have seen Rhianna or Usher wearing the shoes and T.I. sporting the sweaters. I purchased mine from J.Crew but Barney's and Saks Fifth Avenue carry the brand as well. The brand is recognizable by the heart with eyes. I really like the designer although some items can be a little pricey. My blazer is from Lane Bryant and these are the green skinny jeans I bought from Asos Curve a while back and featured in a earlier blog.

On a different note someone asked me why do I blog  and post pictures about the clothes I wear. Even though I am not the designer, as a plus size woman I often see clothes online that look great on that size 12 or size 14 model but when I put them on my size 18-20 body it looks totally different. So I like to show how things will look on someone that is truly plus size to give a better perception of what you are getting if you fall on the higher end of the plus size spectrum. I also find that a lot of plus size women don't know that there are more trendy options for clothes out here and some stores that you think don't have plus size options actually do. I am one that is all for comfort and don't wear a lot of heels, although I do own a lot(it's a sickness LOL) so I like to show flat or sneaker options that I don't see on a lot of other blogs. I hope this answers the question and shows that I am not just vain :-). but it also has given me an idea, If you are plus size and would like to be featured on my blog please submit an email (pamela) with pictures of your outfit and details I will be more than happy to oblige.

Thank you for reading and until next time...Do Love Your Curves(y)

My pants are a tad too big and not very flattering in these photos...ewww.
